导赏 谢尔盖·拉赫玛尼诺夫出生于1873年,逝世于1943年。2023年正值他诞辰150周年与去世80周年,世界各地的乐团与钢琴家们都在这一年里举行拉赫玛尼诺夫诞辰的系列音乐会,中国爱乐乐团也不例外,将以多场音乐会致敬这位浪漫主义巨匠。

1893年,20岁的拉赫玛尼诺夫有感于契诃夫的短篇小说《在路上》,写下了交响诗《岩石》,用简洁的笔触、充满想象力的手法重现了“一朵小小的金色云彩投宿在悬岩巨人的胸怀”的场景。第一钢琴协奏曲是拉赫玛尼诺夫17-18岁时写下的作品,作曲家以青春的热情与丰富的想象力,谱写了一部结构新颖、技巧艰深的协奏曲,拉赫玛尼诺夫此后一生都没有再写得出如此生机勃勃充满活力的音乐作品。他的第一交响曲则是其人生的重大转折点,由格拉祖诺夫担任指挥的作品首演是一场巨大的灾难,拉赫玛尼诺夫曾为之付出了巨大的心血,这样的失败让他一度陷于精神崩溃长达数年之久,直到他在心理治疗师的帮助下重拾信心,之后才得以写下震惊世人的杰作第二钢琴协奏曲。以今天的视角来看,第一交响曲虽然并非他最出色的作品,但也绝非毫无是处。聆听这部虽青涩却依然可圈可点的作品,才能真正“听懂”那个有血有肉、有高潮也有低谷的音乐大师——比起他的音乐来,他的人生故事同样值得了解。

左章是一名富有想象力和感染力的演奏家,在年轻一代的钢琴家中独树一帜。被形容为“充满激情和魅力,绽放着年轻的光彩”(《中国留声机》),她的音乐诠释和传达能力被赞誉为“把我们带到另一个现实......明亮,富有表现力,走向极限”(《比利时公共广播公司》),同时她成熟的创造力被誉为“纯粹艺术之强大,激情和扣人心弦的代表”(《洛杉矶时报》)。

最近两个乐季的亮点,包括由尼姆·耶尔维执棒,与爱沙尼亚国立交响乐团合作乐季开幕音乐会,与香港管弦乐团的两次合作,以及参与上海交响乐团全套贝多芬钢琴协奏曲、全套圣桑钢琴协奏曲项目。在新冠疫情期间,左章在中国和新加坡进行独奏音乐会巡演,2021 年 8 月在著名的琉森音乐节上首次演出独奏音乐会。在 2019 年 10 月,左章签约环球音乐后的首张专辑由古典厂牌德意志留声机 DG 发行,与帕沃·耶尔维和英国爱乐乐团合作录制的《拉威尔 G 大调钢琴协奏曲》和《李斯特第二钢琴协奏曲》;2022 年 5 月,左章与环球合作的第二张独奏专辑《旅行岁月》由 Decca 厂牌发行,专辑中收录了瓦格纳、勋伯格和李斯特的作品。

在过去的乐季中,左章在苏黎世和上海国际艺术节上与苏黎士音乐厅管弦乐团合作演出《李斯特第一钢琴协奏曲》,在香港国际艺术节上与日本 NHK 交响乐团合作演出《拉威尔 G 大调钢琴协奏曲》;这两个项目都由帕沃·耶尔维执棒。除此之外,左章还与多个世界著名乐团合作,包括 BBC 交响乐团、BBC 爱乐乐团、伦敦爱乐乐团、皇家利物浦爱乐乐团、比利时国家管弦乐团、巴塞尔交响乐团、博鲁桑伊斯坦布尔爱乐乐团、华沙爱乐乐团、克里斯蒂安桑交响乐团、洛杉矶爱乐乐团、旧金山交响乐团、明尼苏达交响乐团、辛辛那提交响乐团、西雅图交响乐团、美国帕萨迪纳交响乐团等。

左章频繁合作的著名指挥包括玛琳·艾尔索普、夏尔·迪图瓦、阿隆德拉·帕拉、多明戈·欣多延、米歇尔·耐斯特洛维茨、准·马寇尔、杨·帕斯卡·托特里耶、帕沃·耶尔维、尼姆·耶尔维、余隆、张弦等。

左章成功举办了在伦敦威格莫尔音乐厅、华盛顿肯尼迪艺术中心、纽约林肯艺术中心、温哥华独奏会协会和飞跃演奏香港的独奏会。左章受邀参加多个音乐节的演出,包括意大利 MiTo 音乐节、密歇根卡拉马祖吉尔摩音乐节、美国阿斯本音乐节和牛津 SJE 艺术家系列。2013-2015年,左章作为“BBC 新一代艺术家”参与乐季演出。2014 年,她受邀参加 BBC 逍遥音乐节,在皇家阿尔伯特音乐厅进行演出。

左章是一位充满热情的室内乐演奏家,也经常与小提琴家 Esther Yoo 和大提琴家 Narek Hakhnazaryan 共同组成的 Z.E.N.三重奏演出。三重奏 2019 年 10 月首次在美国进行巡演,并常在世界范围进行巡演。2022 年夏天,Z.E.N 三重奏将赴澳洲进行巡演。

左章五岁时开始在德国接受音乐训练。回到祖国后,她成为全国最受追捧的年轻艺术家之一,与中国领先的交响乐团合作,并与之保持密切联系。在深圳艺术学院随但昭义完成钢琴学习后,左章受邀在伊斯曼音乐学院的 Nelita True 以及茱莉亚音乐学院的 Yoheved Kaplinsky 和 Robert McDonald 的指导下继续深造,并获得了梦寐以求的 Petschek 钢琴奖。左章在中国第一届国际钢琴协奏曲比赛,吉娜·巴考尔国际艺术家钢琴比赛和克莱涅夫国际钢琴比赛中获得一等奖。她还是 2013 年伊丽莎白女王比赛的获奖者。左章曾跟随莱昂·弗莱舍在皮博迪音乐学院学习,并继续接受阿尔弗雷德·布伦德尔的指导。

An imaginative and electrifying performer, Zee Zee, is unique among the young generation of pianists. Described as “full of enthusiasm and glamour, radiating the vigor of youth” (Chinese Gramophone), her interpretations and communicative abilities have been praised as “taking us to another reality... bright, expressive and moving to the extreme” (Belgischer Rundfunk), while her creative maturity has been hailed as “a powerful, passionate and compelling representation of pure artistry” (Los Angeles Times).

Highlights in the recent two seasons including the season opening concert with the Estonian National Symphony under Neeme Järvi, 2 times with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the complete piano concertos of Beethoven and of Saint-Saëns with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Amid the pandemic, Zee Zee gave a recital tour in China, Singapore (Esplanade), and had her recital debut at the prestigious Lucerne Festival in summer 2021. In October 2019, Universal releases her first album, featuring Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G and Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Paavo Järvi and the Philharmonia Orchestra, followed by the second one, a solo album <Journey> featuring works from Wagner, Schönberg and Liszt which has been released in May 2022.

In the past seasons Zee Zee performed Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Tonhalle Orchestra, in Zurich and at the Shanghai Arts Festival, and Ravel’s Concerto in G with the NHK Symphony Orchestra at the Hong Kong Arts Festival; both projects were led by Paavo Järvi. Besides that, she has performed with leading orchestras worldwide such as the BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Belgian National Orchestra, Sinfonieorchester Basel, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic, Warsaw Philharmonic, Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Minnesota Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, among others.

Zee Zee regularly works with some of today’s leading conductors, including Marin Alsop, Charles Dutoit, Alondra de la Parra, Domingo Hindoyan, Michał Nesterowicz, Jun Märkl, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Paavo Järvi, Neeme Järvi, Long Yu and Xian Zhang.

She has given a number of notable recitals, including at the Wigmore Hall in London, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Lincoln Center in New York, Vancouver Recital Society and Hong Kong Premiere Performances, and has appeared at festivals such as MiTo Festival (Italy), the Gilmore Festival (Kalamazoo, Michigan), Aspen Music Festival and the SJE Arts Series (Oxford, UK). Zee Zee was a BBC New Generation Artist during 2013-2015. In 2014 she performed at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms.

A passionate chamber musician, Zee Zee also regularly performs as a member of The Z.E.N. Trio, alongside violinist Esther Yoo and cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan. The trio tours regularly throughout the world, they made their first US tour in October 2019, and will tour in Australia in summer 2022.

Zee Zee began her musical training in Germany at the age of five. Upon returning to her native China, she became one of the most sought-after young artists in the nation, collaborating with the leading Chinese orchestras, with whom she retains a close link. Having completed her piano studies with Dan Zhao Yi at the Shenzhen Arts School, Zee Zee was invited to continue her artistic development under the mentorship of Nelita True at the Eastman School of Music and Yoheved Kaplinsky and Robert McDonald at The Juilliard School, where she won the coveted Petschek Piano Award. Zee Zee was awarded first prizes at China's 1st International Piano Concerto Competition, the Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition and the Krainev International Piano Competition. She was also a prizewinner at the 2013 Queen Elizabeth Competition. She has studied at the Peabody Institute with Leon Fleisher, and continues to receive guidance from Alfred Brendel.
